What Separates the Typical from Stand-out Pre-Meds

One of our core philosophies is based on a question that most pre-meds aren’t asking before they apply to medical school.

“Why should medical schools accept you? What makes you stand out?”

If you’re scratching your head right now, you’ll want to take some time to answer this question for yourself.

What makes you stand out will be the foundation for your application, essays, and your chances for getting in. You’re being compared to the other students applying with you and, if you’re more of the same, you can pretty much say goodbye to your acceptance.

Now, let’s go one step further and give you more insight. Your reasons for standing out, how do they actually stack up? Yes, mom tells us we’re all special butterflies, but it’s only true in some cases.

In my latest video, I spoke with 100 of our Passport Admissions advising students to find out what separates the typical from standout pre-meds.

You’ll be surprised at the responses, but, take note because this is your competition. Use it to see how you measure up and make your application that much better.

Good luck with applications!
